BRANT BIO:

BRANT is the dynamic, hard-hitting, underground heavy metal creator, whose loyal and longtime legion of fans have appropriately named - The Lungs of Iron. First coming to prominence in 1984 during an era referred to as the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, BRANT began honing his craft by mixing listenable melody with skull crushing heaviness. The term power metal was put into circulation by metal journalists describing a music that was somewhere between truly heavy rock and thrash metal.

As a recording and performing artist BRANT has proven himself to be a tough act to follow and has been very successful since striking out on his own in 1991 from his former band Enchanter. If you like your music loud, hard and mean you owe it to yourself to check out some of BRANT's work and see what the rest of the world has been getting a taste of for the past 20 years. His latest and future work shows no apparent departure from a style of viscous, artistic expression that lends itself to the tasteful extreme with a voice of no compromise or mercy.

The Lungs of Iron, BRANT, continued to obliterate metal audiences throughout 2002 performing with GAG and is did so again in 2003 to support not one, but two new releases co-created by Jeff Grady and Kelly Matthews of Step Cousin. The same duo he has written and recorded with on his past several releases. The 2004 release of " The Sands of Mars " is BRANT's latest disc and his 19th! The Sands Of Mars mixes hard driving power metal with subtle hints of Swedish death metal scattered throughout its pummeling soundscape. Metallically diverse .
